Vermont Teddy Bear Factory Tour (Shelburne, VT) – May 2015

The original blog entry details how I first heard of the Vermont Teddy Bear Company, and how it took me some time to realize it was a place I could visit.  This was a good way to spend a couple hours, and it was fun too.  There are places in your area that you’ve heard of, but just never think to go to.  You should, because this is an example of a nice little hidden gem.

Bennington Museum (Bennington, VT) – May 2015

Growing up in this region, there’s a lot of historical things around that can easily get overlooked.  The Bennington Museum is an overlooked place which was worth checking out.  It has a lot of local history of the area, including the Battle of Bennington which was fought here in 1777.  The original blog entry has all the detail of the visit.  This is another reminder that whether you’re a resident or just a visitor passing through, take some time and check out the local attractions.  You’ll never know what interesting things you’ll fine.
