Alligator Adventure (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina) – May 1997

I originally posted some of these pictures with a travel blog write-up (and the link to the original was below).  I decided I wanted to share all the pictures I took of a particular area of point of interest, so some of these you will have seen before if you’ve been following this blog for a bit.

There were many places we explored when Molly and I visited there.  Having limited amounts of film available limited the number of pictures taken (as this was the age before digital cameras).  One place we went to was Alligator Adventure, which was a place where a ton of these reptiles hung out.  It was a great way to learn about these beasties.

For my birthday that year, my then-girlfriend decided to plan a trip for us to spend a week at her favorite vacation spot.  Hey, I’m game for something new.  Mainly the pictures here are of the beach from where we stayed, as well as some things which were within walking distance or a brief drive.

Gettysburg Battlefield (Gettysburg, PA) – June 1996

I originally posted some of these pictures with a travel blog write-up (and the link to the original was below).  I decided I wanted to share all the pictures I took of a particular area of point of interest, so some of these you will have seen before if you’ve been following this blog for a bit.  It was raining when Brian and I went to visit the Gettysburg Battlefield.  The area was pretty expansive, so being able to drive from monument to monument was actually quite nice.  Each display was one you should stop at and absorb the information, considering what once happened here.  There was also an indoor museum with lots of great exhibits too.

Fort Niagara (Niagara Falls, NY) – June 1993

I originally posted some of these pictures with a travel blog write-up (and the link to the original was below).  I decided I wanted to share all the pictures I took of a particular area of point of interest, so some of these you will have seen before if you’ve been following this blog for a bit.  These were the pictures from when Brian and I went across to the Canadian side to visit Niagara Falls.  While we were there, we also stopped over to visit Fort Niagara, which was originally built by New France, but then lost to the British in during the French and Indian War.  And then the fort eventually became under the control of America, who maintained an active presence with it up until 1963.

Niagara Falls (Niagara Falls, NY and Canada) – June 1993

I originally posted some of these pictures with a travel blog write-up (and the link to the original was below).  I decided I wanted to share all the pictures I took of a particular area of point of interest, so some of these you will have seen before if you’ve been following this blog for a bit.  These were the pictures from when Brian and I went across to the Canadian side to visit Niagara Falls, and then drove a short distance to see what was (geologically-speaking) the “old falls.”
