Longhorn Caverns (Marble Falls, TX) – August 2010

Yeah, the same opening paragraph you’ve read before.  Some of these pictures were posted originally with the travel blog write-up (original link below).  Now instead of a select few, I’m sharing just about all the pictures.  Some blurry or bad shots were removed, as well as some with others who would appreciate not having their pictures posted again.  Please be sure to visit the original blog link for more details of the original visit.

I’d been visiting the various caves in the area, and this was one I hadn’t gotten to yet.  This wasn’t a cave where the formations were still growing, but it was nice to see.  This would’ve been a good self-guided tour to enjoy the area, as the tour guide was kind of an asshole.  The natural formations were worth seeing if you haven’t been there, but there were much better caves in the area.

San Antonio Zoo (San Antonio, TX) – August 2010

Yeah, the same opening paragraph you’ve read before.  Some of these pictures were posted originally with the travel blog write-up (original link below).  Now instead of a select few, I’m sharing just about all the pictures.  Some blurry or bad shots were removed, as well as some with others who would appreciate not having their pictures posted again.  Please be sure to visit the original blog link for more details of the original visit.

Going to the zoo was always fun, especially if it’s run well and the animals are treated good.  San Antonio Zoo was one of those places.  Of course going in August when it was ridiculously hot really simulated the temperatures of Central Africa, but most of the other animals were on “activity low” status to stay cool.  It was a good day trip, but go when it’s cooler.
