Yeah, the same opening paragraph you’ve read before. Some of these pictures were posted originally
with the travel blog write-up (original link below). Now instead of a select few, I’m sharing just
about all the pictures. Some blurry or
bad shots were removed, as well as some with others who would appreciate not
having their pictures posted again.

I think this was my fourth visit to InnerSpace Caverns, and no,
nothing had changed. >grin< This was a living cave, so the formations
were still in the process of growing, so you couldn’t touch them. The oils secreted by the human hand would
eventually stop that from happening if enough people touched it. Thus, better off not to have anyone touch it
to extend the life of the formations.
The cave system was last open to the outside some 10,000 years ago
when a few Ice Age animals happened to fall in.
After that it, probably due to tectonic activity, the opening was closed
up. As there were no entrances to the
outside, the native population nor the European settlers had any clue of its
existence. The story of how this was
discovered by chance in the 1960’s was great to hear, and I recommend going to
the caves to immerse yourself in the experience.
