I originally posted some of these pictures with a travel blog
write-up (and the link to the original was below). I decided I wanted to share all the pictures
I took of a particular area of point of interest, so some of these you will
have seen before if you’ve been following this blog for a bit.
By this time, I knew I’d be moving to Texas soon, so I was taking
the opportunity to visit some relatively close-by people and places before they
became too far away. Part of that was
going up to the top of the Empire State Building. Usually when I’m at a high place, I’d try to
get a picture from every compass direction as I could. Here was the best I could do, given the
crowds and such. To the east is the
United Nations building. To the north is
Central Park. To the west was Madison
Square Garden. And to the south was the
clump of buildings where the World Trade Center had once stood.
