Washington on the Brazos (TX) – March 2007

 I originally posted some of these pictures with a travel blog write-up (and the link to the original was below).  I decided I wanted to share all the pictures I took of a particular area of point of interest, so some of these you will have seen before if you’ve been following this blog for a bit.  The link below gives more of the details, so I’m not going to rehash them here.

 This was part of the Star of the Republic museum, as this site was the planned original capitol of the Republic of Texas.  There’s not much here, as the location never got off the ground.  Once the Republic of Texas formed, the capitol was moved to other locations.  This was mostly an area empty area with a few buildings, but mostly streets marked out.  The nearby museum provides a bit more specific information.
