Yeah, the same opening paragraph you’ve read before. Some of these pictures were posted originally
with the travel blog write-up (original link below). Now instead of a select few, I’m sharing just
about all the pictures. Some blurry or
bad shots were removed, as well as some with others who would appreciate not
having their pictures posted again.
Please be sure to visit the original blog link for more details of the
original visit.
Since my 40th birthday was coming up, I had a dream of
ringing it in on a tropical beach. A
return to Turks & Caicos Islands (TCI) seemed like the best way to do
it. We arrived two days before, and
were able to use that time to get reacquainted with the area. Not much had changed, so it was like coming
back to something familiar. We stayed at
the Royal West Indies resort again, as my plan had been to do something as
similar as Lee had done for her 40th a couple years earlier. This time we were going just before hurricane
season began, but still considered the “off-season” for tourism was
concerned. That meant things would be
fairly deserted, so we could interact more with the locals.
As you could see, the first day was enjoying the sight of the
various islands in the blue water on our way in, and that cool white
powder-like sand which made it was one of the best beaches in the world. Just these images alone were worth the trip.
