Exploring Llano (Llano, TX) – March 2012

Yeah, the same opening paragraph you’ve read before.  Some of these pictures were posted originally with the travel blog write-up (original link below).  Now instead of a select few, I’m sharing just about all the pictures.  Some blurry or bad shots were removed, as well as some with others who would appreciate not having their pictures posted again.  Please be sure to visit the original blog link for more details of the original visit.

“Let’s go someplace we haven’t been before” was always a good philosophy which was followed whenever my parents came to visit.  After being introduced to the wine called “Llano” (and liking it), Mum decided that she wanted to visit the actual city.  They don’t make the wine there, Mum, but it was a good place to see what was there.  Some small museums with local history welcomed you, and an old jail house.  Also there were deer.  Lots of deer.  As a lot of deer were processed in the area, there were dozens of “artsy” deer statues scattered through the area.  I took the pictures of ones I liked the best.  It was a good place for an afternoon drive.
