I know you’ve seen this standard opening before. But I just have to note that some of these

below). Now instead of a select few, I’m
sharing just about all the pictures.

With the rental vehicle secured, I drove around the island to get
a feel of what the area was like. I
stopped at the closest of the two “cities” on the island, which was
Christiansted. Many of the buildings had
been here for decades, and they showed that island-weathering, so were in
serious needs of fresh paint. I did take
some time “to be a tourist” (which I was) and visited the boardwalk. I also did the self-guided tour of historic
Fort Christiansted. Not long after that,
the battery in the camera died because I hadn’t charged it. Oops.
