Olympic Ski Jumps (Lake Placid, NY) – October 2008

My Mum took these pictures.  Autumn in the Adirondacks is a beautiful time, especially when you can catch the foliage during peak time.  My parents visited the area specifically to go to the Olympic Center.  They were allowed to go on top of the ski jumps, which gave a fabulous view of the surrounding area.  You also release steep the incline is.  But the way the ski jumps are designed, the athlete is only ever about a dozen feet or so off the ground.  With the picture of the mist on the lake, that just added to the great views.
