My Mum took these pictures. Ottawa is also the home to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (which was what Dudley Do-Right belonged to). The RCMP (or “Mounties”) are a nation-wide police force which was established in 1920 which operates in every jurisdiction (and even served in a war-time capacity during the 1940’s). The headquarters are open to the public, so you can visit and learn the history of this organization, and even might some of the horses which are used. There’s a lot to see here, so give it the adequate amount of time.
