Random Pictures of Sedona (Sedona, AZ) – August 2008

I originally posted some of these pictures with a travel blog write-up (and the link to the original was below).  I decided I wanted to share all the pictures I took of a particular area of point of interest, so some of these you will have seen before if you’ve been following this blog for a bit.  The link below gives more of the details, so I’m not going to rehash them here.  You’ll see that as I’d gotten a digital camera around this time, the number of pictures of an area has increased.

I’d mentioned to the hotel staff I was driving down to Sedona the next day, and they recommended that if I’d never driven Route 89A through Oak Creek Canyon before, to do it in the daylight when I had visibility.  I took that as a tip from the locals, which proved to be the correct action.  I wanted to get as much hiking in as possible, but I had other targets in Sedona as well.  A lot of what I was trying to accomplish that day I got done, but with very little hiking.  I just decided to redo my schedule and have a second day in Sedona.  Until then, here’s some random pictures from that first day.
