I know you’ve seen this standard opening before. But I just have to note that some of these
pictures were posted originally with the travel blog write-up (original link
below). Now instead of a select few, I’m
sharing just about all the pictures.

One of the main areas on the north side was Cane Bay. There was a beach to enjoy, and a great
restaurant (called “Eat at Cane Bay”).
It’s also the best place on the island for diving, as where the drops
dramatically (which was referred to as “The Wall”). This area was a bit more secluded, and
generally more where locals hang out.
There were also some nice properties which I looked at (and couldn’t
afford).
There was also a stone tower up on a hill, which was the only
thing which remained of a sugar cane plantation. These towers are scattered all over the
island. I was able to trek up to the
column and look around to get some elevated pictures of the area. At the top of the hill was a white box. That’s a burial site. No one here is buried below ground due to the
water table. But to be buried on a
hillside with a great view, you can’t beat that!
