For the final part in Galveston, we cruised around to see some small venues. The main blog mentions the Per 21 Theatre, and the presentation on the Great Storm of 1900. But after that was the Texas Seaport Museum to see the Tall Ship Elissa, and the history of what once was the main southern port of immigration. There was an area which celebrated the first Mardi Gras on the island, the historic Strand district, and finally to the La King’s Confectionary (which dated back to the 1920’s). Some of these small venues are always good to check out to see the local flare.
